I have job that requires me to know the temperature, humidity and wind speed and direction for the last 40 days, does anyone here know of a site where I can access this info for free ? Hourly intervals would suffice but obviously the more info the better. BOM wants to charge $65 or more to provide this info and I'm sure it must be out there for free.

Thanks in advance Breezers !

If you go with BoM you would get exactly what you want, exactly where you want it.

I can't think of any other organisations that would offer the sort of info you are after.

Temp - about what BOM predicted
Humidity - about what BOM predicted
Wind direction - about what BOM predicted
Wind speed - about half or less [}:)]

Mark, the wind thing... I think that's because wind readings and predictions are based on 10m or 30 foot above ground... not surface wind speed, which is lower.... ???

Yep

But also the fact that a few years ago they started deliberately over forecasting winds due to concerns about newbie idiot boaties going out and coming to grief and would BOM be liable blah blah
(Us old farts think the wind forecasts used to be much more realistic)

Yes! Exactly!
And after the Sydney/Hobart race storm they added...

"Please be aware
Wind gusts can be 40 percent stronger than the averages given here, and maximum waves may be up to twice the height"

It's all there. Though I'm logged in under the silver membership (I think about $60p/a) and can't be bothered logging out to see if you can still access the same data for free.
