Looking at getting the biggest, baddest monitor I can get for < $1,000. Main reason is I've got all these 6 - 12 MB photos, and I've never actually viewed them on anything but 1200 x 800.
(Originally I was going to upgrade to a new/coming soon i-mac, but I've since figured my PC/laptop actually does absolutely everything I need it to do, thus $1k for a monitor is cheap in comparison.)
I've been browsing the ViewSonics and a little confused between their X series and Pro series. It seems that some of the X series are better than the pro series, even when not considering the quoted DCR numbers.
Can a perfectionist recommend anything?
A little off topic Panda, but I recently upgraded my old TV to a HD 42" Panasonic Plasma, not the full HD version. I normally view my photos on my 19" LCD monitor but thought I'd see what they look like on the new TV via a DVD slideshow, WOW I couldn't believe how good they looked ![]()
Not as convenient as a PC for sure so a bad a--e monitor would be sweet ![]()
Actually one I am considering is 1900 x 1200, has HDMI inputs, is 24", and comes as cheap as $320.http://viewsonic.com.au/products/productspecs.php?id=374
