Oh, so you have finally decided to try and learn a challenging sport?

Good on you!

No wind today eh? A bit bored huh? Fair enough. The weather blows in Sydney, in the worst possible way. Great summer.

No need for a beginners windsurfers section because most windsurfers are friendly people who are happy to help beginners out. The windsurfing forum is a beginner friendly place unlike other forums on seabreeze.

Why is there no newbie forum under the kiting section, oh wait ...I know, it's because I will be posting in the pro level kiting forum within 2 weeks.

It would be a bit redundant, like having a 'Dickheads' forum in the Kitesurfing section when you already have the 'General' forum.

because windsurfers know everything and don't need to consider themselves newbies.

Because windsurfers don't shoot newbies down in flames for being newbies

Challenging? Now there's a justification to try something pointless

The ancient Japanese art of being kicked in the nuts untill your eyes pop is pretty challenging.

Ah, kitesurfing is an ancient Japanese art? That explains a lot. I wondered why you would want to drag yourself face-first along a beach beneath a kite.

I am not a kitesurfer, so I didn't realise the point was to do this so that you get kicked in the nuts until your eyes pop.

Thanks for the tip! Sounds fun

Fair question...I remember when I just started w/surfing, posted a few 'newbie' questions on the 'w/surfing-general' section - answers from experienced w/surfers came in thick'n'fast. Not sure that those guys would be browsing a 'newbie' section so I would've got less help.

Even as a newbie, I used to make comments to (try to) help others at the same stage as me.
