I have always believed "The Truth Will Set You Free!!" but in the case of Mr Assange it looks like having the oposite effect.
Freedom of the press and freedom of the internet are one and the same thing but apparently not in the eyes fo Senator Conroy.
"Even if you think the law is wrong, he broke the law - end of story.
Don't do the crime if you won't do the time..."
That is a bloody strange comment Bruce! Would you mind elaborating?
What I read into the story is that Assange is being harrassed because he is upsetting the establishment. If he falls under a bus it will not be the first time they have taken that option. Perhaps that is why he chooses to live in Iceland.
Bet he had a good long look at his passport when they returned it too!

American officials are searching for Julian Assange (our information Robbin Hood), the founder of WikiLeaks in an attempt to pressure him not to publish thousands of confidential and potentially hugely embarrassing diplomatic cables that offer unfiltered assessments of Middle East governments and leaders.
The Daily Beast, a US news reporting and opinion website, reported that Pentagon investigators are trying to track down Julian Assange - an Australian citizen who moves frequently between countries - after the arrest of a US soldier last week who is alleged to have given the whistleblower website a classified video of American troops killing civilians in Baghdad.
"Searching" eh? So much for the for the the new world order knowing everything! lol
Smells like they are trying to scare him off, because if they wanted him found (or worse), I am sure it would have happened already.
