Have started one cpl month ago , it is running good, yesterday I was puting some scraps in it and noticed it has been invaded by millions of tiny red (spiders? insects?) looking like small red dots! Any body has experienced the same???? WTF is it, should I do something (what) about it?
I recomend you use Conbantrim and some sort of ointment, however you may want to see your doctor first.
Aternatively, the old fashioned way was to place a piece of meat right next to the exit to lure them out.
I have a work farm, the standard rectangular box with the bottom drain. Anyways it stated smelling yesterday. I killed half my worms.
Not happy, probs like 2000 worms.
I'm slapping myself in the face I normally just feed them fruit and veg.
I chucked a handfull of old dog biskets in there! Great move when 80% is protein. The worms didn't eat them, plus the heat...
My worms all went to the bottom chamber and died.
Worst smell ever.
Oh yeah, I had them small bugs. They look kinda cool, I found heaps of weird looking bugs. I figured it was all part of their little micro climate/environment.
won't do it again!But they all look happy in there just hope the little red dot are going to stay small and not invade my back patio!
