Hi fellas, the misses done some oil paintings and she is wanting to display some in the big smoke of Perth, anyone has any local knowledge of places that might display sale paintings, like cafes or restaurants , her work has ocean , beach themes

Peters by the Sea in scarborough has some art on the wall that is for sale.

I don't know how often the turnover is though, some stuff has been up for years , and I guess at the end of the day it is a kebab shop...but it is right on the beach so could suit her themes.

Only having lived in mandurah for 6ish months I have not been dining out much...
But I would give these places a ring..or email them with sample shots..

Try your local council. Many of the have some sort of art thing happening from time to time.

It might be worth a look around the Freo markets or E-Shed in Freo.
Also some shops in the Fremantle area might take some on consignment.
They will want a hefty commission of course but then 50% of something is better than 100% of nothing.
If she is trying to get established then the first priority is to get some work out there in public and get it seen. It's similar to the recording industry in that respect.
