Does anyone know a good accountant in Perth. Preferably one with a slightly relaxed interpretation of the law?

Which industry in particular - know a real good one down Freo way that deals with mining & resources - mainly on the paramedical/health care side of things...........pretty much bettered all my prior returns X 3 on the first visit, looking forward to my next visit as am now aware of items that can be claimed that I was never made aware of previously. Was slightly more $$ than the other places I've been but well worth it..............as to relaxed interpretation of the law - well no, just had an awareness of what my industry does & what can be claimed........does his homework & knows how to push the enevolope.

Not going to release his details on a public forum so PM me.

Ultimately you are held responsible for the accuracy of your return... so why pay somebody to interpret the law?

Exactly! I know of one joker who did a roaring trade doing tax returns for a heap of railway workers in SA, they thought he was wonderful because he was being, lets say, 'inventive', and getting them huge returns. Then the tax office decided to do a few audits. No prizes for guessing that the individuals involved could not back up their returns and had to pay tax plus fines.

I'm not talking about "Saul Goodman" style dodgyness - just someone who knows how to flex the law. Nothing illegal - but I'm happy with "questionable".

"Push the envelope" was a good quote from earlier - I'm looking for someone like this.

Try Andy Dufrain. He used to be at Shawshank but he is in Mexico lately.
