Honestly so much taxpayer money is wasted in this land. All levels of government basically piss money against the wall for no real return except keeping a $100K a year chair warm. Then no money can be found to build roads and hospitals. Countries in Europe are facing the facts that increases in government spending can't go on forever, due to the fact the German government is saying NO. Unfortunately no one is willing to say no to the spending of the Australian government.

Its a bloody laugh when Gillard gets on TV and starts lecturing the European leaders on how to balance the budget. She spends money like a drunken sailor. So did Rudd and Howard before her.

Fireworks = people going to see them.
People going to see fireworks = $ spent at fuel stations , $ spent on Food & Drink (mmmmm beer!) etc , $ spent on gimmicks > flags etc
$ spent on the above = money into economy
money into economy = good for Ozland

yep they are for 1c then sold for $5-$10 here....money stays in WA
