anyone know the diference between "soda water" and "mineral water"
I looked at the sodium content on both and the mineral water was actually marginally higher.
Im talking normal brands from Coles, Woolworths, IGA etc not imported stuff,
Thing is Soda water is usualy is cheaper,
Am I missing something?
Isnt mineral water from natural springs ect? Soda water is made by injecting gas into the water.
Kearnsy was almost on the money as there isnt that much difference.
I was joking regarding my previous comment, I cant get those face things working to express feelings. Didnt mean to appear like a (&*^*&^%
I think mineral water is a big con, unless you are living in the big cities where the water has had so much treatment to get nasties out of it, tastes like crap.
I have heard that mineral water bottlers, fill with potable water from reticulation sources.
During the big dry how is it the bottlers did more business, where did water come from.
I think soda water comes is any old water out of a tap which is then carbonated (you can do the same yourself with a soda siphon). Mineral water is meant to come out of some kind of natural spring and may then also be carbonated, depending on whether you want the still or the fizzy version.
Once upon a time Perrier water came out of the ground naturally carbonated but I've heard they've long since dug a deeper well to extract the CO2 gas which is then combined with the water during bottling, presumably to get a more consistent result.
A few little things I learned during my days as a home brewer.
^^^ somewhere in another dimesion (not galaxy), just outside the perception of normal human sensory, thats why we should listen to the nutters in the loony bins.. they been tellin us this stuff for ages, no one gets it and no one listens, probably too much pepsi...dogs and cats and little babies can pick up on it though, thats why they eat dogs and cats and little babies
