if you see Bodie standing on the beach wrapped in a towel, you know its gonna be big...
give the brother a heads up and tell him the cops are hot on his tail
remember...
he's not coming back in
^^^ lol right on, it has been bigger when the last cyclone went through the place... ![]()
It was freaking solid this morning.
These were taken around 9:30ish towards 10am (Today, Sunday 10 July 2011).

Crouch stance is about 1.3m+ Closer to 1.4m.
This wave is an easy 8 metres. More likely to be 9m+. But it would feel like 10 ! ![]()

Wow - great pics, thanks for sharing!
Given the size of those waves, they are unbelievably clean too.
I was standing right next to Steve Ryan as he took this photo. 1st photo. My photo, 2nd one, is a split second after, shooting on the wife's Slim Line Pocket Camera (My Medium Zoom Olympus needs a new Olympus rechargeable battery). Steve was shooting on a Pro Bazooka Lens. Same angle, same wave.... Different moment, different crop.
Steve Ryan's photo was posted on Coastalwatch.com.au
Enjoy it again ! ![]()
A spike in swell saw some sizable sets rolling in along Victoria's Surf Coast yesterday. As Darren Wilcox bottom turns off this bomb, you've got to wonder what the two surfers paddling over it are staring at... Photo: Steve Ryan.
NOTE: I previously reported the surfer as probably being T-Ray (Tony Ray).
(I've just had to correct a "wrong" in a few threads... I might have mentioned the surfer as Tony Ray, but it was Darren Wilcox.)
