Hey there, just purchased a jet ski and im looking for some good spots in or around perth wa. now i know most of you are into surfing or windsurfing and probably get peeved off when a jet ski goes screaming by but is anyone aware of some good spots, lakes, river etc?![]()
In Mt pleasant..corner of the Esplanade..and Coogee road
There is a big car park to park your car and trailer..
Then at Point Walter Bicton...off Burke drive..huge car park there again..
And is an't there a huge place of off Burswood Casino ![]()
do you not operate any man made devices? the only thing natural about you is that your a NATURAL born loser [}:)].
Actually it's odd how we do tend to overreact to jet skis.
I guess its because they are noisy dangerous and intrusive and frequently sailed by ignorant yahoos who don't give a rats ass about common courtesy and know nothing about boating safety rules.
Yep! I guess that's it. Aren't we a bunch of intolerant grumpy old men.
I've bought a new chainsaw.
Is there a chainsaw club in Perth?
Does anyone know any good places in Perth I can go to chop trees and shrubs and stuff.
I prefer to chainsaw with people around.
flat water area on the river behind the belmont race course take exit off graham farmer freeway turn south as if you are going back on to the freeway and the boat ramp exit is off to left just before getting back onto the freeway
Just use your common sense and avoid areas were there are surfers, windsurfers, kiters, swimmers or people having a nice peaceful picnic on the banks of the river etc.
None of us will be impressed at how fast you can go or how good you can ride so you don't need to do it in front of an audience.
I have had several bad experiences with jetski's and absolutely hate them.
Once I was out at Little Island enjoying a surf midweek with only myself and a mate out, it was perfect a decent size swell, glassy as and only the sound of the waves crashing......Bliss..... until a jetski appeared. ![]()
He could have gone anywhere along the reef that streches for miles to jump the waves but no he hung around within metres of us scaring the **** out of us at times as he jumped over waves and on one occassion he crashed down within about a metre of me. ![]()
What would have been a perfect day was ruined by noise, fumes and fear.
Please be considerate and think of others.
From memory he didn't have one, it was in the early days of jetskiing and I don't think they were registered in those days.
I remember being that angry at the time that I certainly would have if he had one, the more we yelled at him the closer and faster he went.
