got caught downwind as breeze dropped and unable to get back to carpark. around 7.15pm so i asked a kiter with 4 door ute if he could give me a lift back to carpark.
took one look at me and said your too wet.
it was a late model 40k ute but reckon karma is heading that guys way shortly.
No bad karma for the $40k dual cab driver, particularly if his seats are cloth or leather.
He has created his own set of problems.![]()
You chose to be a windsufferer, so learn to suffer what a windsufferer suffers.![]()
Have you ever had to drag a landyacht a kilometer or more back up the beach?? Not fun.![]()
As with everything, the upside makes the downside worth it.
P.S. I have actually wind surfed in the dim dark past of 1980 at Club Med Noumea at which time I determined that wind surfing was not an activity I would persue long term.![]()
Cheers.
walk was not long around a 1km,just tired.
yes you appreciate the upside more when you can remember.
the downsides.
tried my 6.7m severne c/ red today for first time, what a heavy feeling mother/f..er.
now thats a real downside, cant wait to get back on my rs6 5.8m. half the weight, way more topspeed.
6.7m c/red near new $425.00
most people for a stranger no. for a fellow sailor 50/50.
it would have been a nice thing to do all the same, for a really nice person.
Would have been a 4x4 ute ...... not allowed to get them dirty.
Poor fella would have copped it from his missus on the school run next morning
Now it had been my old commode, no problems ..... that goes everywhere.
Wouldn't he even let you sit on the tray?
To add, I don't even let myself sit in the seats in my old ute (cloth seats) when I'm wet...
i have a bunkie peice of snot i use my good car is in the shed its cheap of feul and often i drive home in my wetsuit !!!! your lucky is want a long SWIM lol
it must be a WA thing [}:)]
i had to ditch my gear in the bay and got a lift from a guy in a ute who also cracked me a beer!

it was a tray that had a open + close on it.a hardtop i think they call it.
i thought he probably would say no, was so tired thought i ask anyway.
were i ever to own a new car and someone dripping wet were to ask nicely for a lift, i would not have the heart to say no.
its a crazy world, people will gladly drink the fluoride in the water, the artificial sweetners in soft drinks but will be aghast at sitting in there precious car in a wet wetsuit.
your health is all that matters.
