can everyone please keep an eye out for this guy. probably one of the nicest blokes you will ever meet. he has a silver prado and is tall and built. his name is john pirona and is usually a regular around the beaches.

A bit awkward to read. I may have thought that pride in being a professional Firey, and being able to find external positive distractions such as kiting would assist to boost his spirit.
Terrible story. Its unbelievable individuals can conceal or ignore crimes against children and nothing happens to them. If my wife knew that I robbed a bank or servo and denied it to the police, she would be charged with concealing a crime. However when it comes to crimes like this, there seems to be immunity against concealing heinous crimes.
It sounds like if this bloke saw a bit of justice it may make his life a bit more bearable.

BELMONT North man John Pirona, 45, has been found dead after his disappearance on Sunday.
Police attached to Lake Macquarie Local Area Command located Mr Pirona deceased in a car at Tomago early this morning.
The NSW Fire Brigades officer's disappearance after leaving a letter to his wife saying he was in ''too much pain'' related to being a victim of a notorious Hunter paedophile priest precipitated an overwhelming public response.
His death is not being treated as suspicious.
Police and Mr Pirona's family wish to thank the media and the public for their assistance.
A terrible shame, about time the long spoken of royal commission into the catholic church cover up of peodophiles came to fruition.
It really stretches belief that, with the world wide uncovering of catholic priest crimes against children, that there hasnt been some type of systemic protection of these criminals.

These people and those who protect them need to be brought to justice..
Some weeks back, a topic was opened regarding the Catholic Church's covering up of pedophelia, tax evasion, and money laundering. The church was likened to the mafia. Both are organised crime syndicates. The topic was removed!
Yet here we are...discussing the heinous crimes committed against innocent people.
What gives?
Why is it that when the 'Church' is involved in obvious crimes, people in places of authority want to dismiss any sort of discussion about it?
Did not no the guy but my heart is bleeding for the loss to his family and friends including those that enjoyed the ocean with him. May he be in a better place.
