scary part about it is that it's probably not too far away from being reality

Love how it says at the end..

Want to stop this from happening, take action

But offers no avenues of action to take...

Truth is it's happening already...

Fly buys,
Rewards cards,
That latest thing that fat chick on tv is spruiking for a supermarket..

And don't forget credit cards

They are all used to gather information, you might think it's benign consumer fluff, but it can be traced right back to you...

just think about that mark_australia next time you buy your man love magazines on the credit card...

Yes, thrown away all those reward cards. They are all a data collecting scam. For purchases I take out a couple of hundred dollars a week from the ATM and then spend it. I know even using an ATM can be used to track your movements.

The only thing going for us is the fact the data being collected is largely fragmented and not shared. Even if it is legal to share data between organisations its usually an expensive and time consuming task to do it.

WOW I bet that animation was a big hit in 1995 when it came out. Now it just breaks my eyes.

Hmmmmm 2216 posts, you spend too much time infront of the computer, which will affect you eyesight and consequently your car insurance. It must also be telling of your physical condition so your health insurance premiums will rise.

Also I see you've replied to peter mac so your mental capacity must be diminished, in which case your employer must be informed.

Geez if they collect my data...they'll build a brewery next door

I think they are talking about low bandwidth internet connections and the resulting slow/poor quality animations that that implies...

Vive la NBN!

Seriously, what self respecting pizza shop would care what you other details or health conditions are? One that is going to go out of business I would expect, while all the other pizza shops rake in the dough
