hay just started playing around with a really small board for the days when its howling whats the smallest board you ride compared to you weight ? what are the tricks to getting going with out sinking... gos like a skined cat when its plaining but off the plain its a battle the boards about 68L and im around 70-75 kgs whats your thoughts.
that difference shouldn't be a problem.
my normal board is 95lt versus my weight of 105kg.
small board is 85lt big board 125lt.
Just takes a bit of practice.
My wave board at 80 litres (my weight is 85 kg) goes well in wind above 18 knots.
Only problem is that when it drops out you start sinking. I can slog it in anything more than say 10 knots...
my smallest board is a 63lx48cm f2 Missile. I have learnt not to get it out in less than 20knts and it's got to be consistant other wise its just water starting practice.
