Probably should have gone in the Kiting forum. No probs deleting it and then reposting it there as far as I am concerned. I was just being smart posting that story about the fellow stuck up the tree.
The event at Yarrahapini is close to where I grew up and I know the area quite well. It would have been unreal to parafly from the top of the mountain down to the beach. Not sure if I know the bloke who got stuck up in the tree but he looked familiar on the TV.
Is there much cross polenation between kiting and paraflying? The kit and foils look similar. In my mind I associate windsurfing with hang gliding and kiteboarding with paraflying. Though my boss says my mind is fine I often wonder if it is.
