they are in the same place as the windsurf, outboard and car ads above the tabs. not a pop up or anything.

Aren't some of the banner ads on the net these days targetted for the individual based on your Google searches?

I personally can't deal with anything that moves. No flicky flashy web for me. If it moves, it's blocked. End of story.

I do visit site sponsors. When Laurie adds a new round of ads, I click on all of them, go have a decent look around. If they're good and kite related, then I'll bookmark. Then I block them.

If a poster has a 'site sponsor' link then I'll go check their site nearly every time I see it.

I run chrome with the following for privacy and comfort:
Adblock plus
flashblock
Google analytics opt-out (by google)
IBA opt-out (by google)
keep my opt-outs
widgetblock (no stupid like buttons / facebook tracking my every move)

Lol actually I've blocked adolfs smoking kid and some of the other annoying moving ones.

Just install ABP, right click on the image, choose 'block element'. Never see again.

I'm trialling the new avatar, the full size one is awesome, really 3D. The 3D effect ain't so good at 100x100 pixels. I might go back to the maggot.
