No screw them. It is supposed to be a sport and sportsmen are supposed to be sportsmanlike. I used to get so much value out of the Tour but have paid it scant interest in the last six years. Pack of cheating pricks. Same goes for athletics and the Olympricks.

Seriously over it! Hope their livers all fail at an early age, their dicks shrivel up, their nuts calcify and they die an agonising drawn out death after they have lain there in mortification figuring out where they went wrong.

And now the locals are throwing tacks on the road in front of Cadel.
Imagine the scare ya would get boltin down a hill at 70kms and ya front tyre goes down.
Is it just me or does Cadel look like he is gonna break down in tears everytime they interveiw him

Worrier by name, worrier by nature? It's OK, no need to tear up when you see Cadel interviewed

That's how he looks... and, he has been seen to chuck a teary (or two) before!

Two Irishmen were sitting in a pub when the Tour de France came on the TV. Mick and Seamus watched the cyclists for a while then Seamus asked, "Why do they do that?"
"Do what?" said Mick.
"Go on them bikes for miles and miles, up and down the hills, round the bends. Day after day, week after week. No matter if it's icy, raining, snowing, hailing . . . why would they torture themselves like that?"
"It's all for the money," says Mick. "The winner gets half a million Euros”.
"I see." says Seamus, "But why de fook do the others do it?"

Cadel Evans did not do that well at Beijing, nor did Lance Armstrong at the Sydney event - does history dictate is it even worth putting no. 1 + 2 into any London event?

^^. Do you mean why put Cadel in?

Well he's won a tour de France, been a world championship, the2 highest honors for a road cyclist, and has just had 3 weeks of hard racing to get him fit.
Will he win a medal, no. But only 3 out of a hundred do, not sure why everyone is saying he didn't do well, he finished 7th out of the best bike riders in the world, great effort, let's not tall poppy him, he did something no other Aussie has done last year and couldn't quite back it up this year, Sky Cycling are an impressive team full of world champs and olympic medal winners, 2 Aussies, including Mick Rogers who will going to the Olympics as well.
they were too good controlled the race and won in what looked easy but I guarantee no one who got off the bike yesterday would say it easy...

And who else would we send, he is one of the best in OZ?

Cadel came 7th - this is a good thing, surely. I remain surprised at Le Tour guys not ever doing well at adjacent Olympics (yet the prior Olympics were never so hot off the end of the TdF, as this event in London is).

Lance won The Tour in 2000, but came 3rd in the time trial(!) in the same year.
Cadel was 14th at Beijing, but as we know, cleaned up in France last year.

The three Brits (one of them African) did well for the past three weeks - how will they go at the Olympics, home-turf or not?

Sorry for the cat photos, but my opinion is they are Different events, a tour is like a marathon, where as a one day event is like a sprint, sometimes guys do both well. But usually someone who specialises in one day type events or winning stages of the tours will win the road race, I'd say Cavendish will win the road race and Cancellara will win the time trial, he is a specialist at the TT, wiggins is a good TT but will probably finish top 3-5.
