Has anyone else noticed how often Indo gets a bad quake after New Zealand has one?
Geologists assure me it's a coincidence.
I'll say it again in a few years time when it happens again.
Coincidence? I thought the were on (pretty much) the same fault line. Besides, they always have earthquakes. I remember my first day at work in Orcland: there is a sign on what to do in case of a fire, earthquake and lava flow.
Earthquake in NZ
Earthquake in Indo
Vocano in Indo
Huge volcanic activity in eastern Russia
It's all related....
You need a geologist... Or at least a geologist's dog!
<---
All geologist's know that their dog has the answers... Like, what is the price of gold going to be in June 2011, and how long will the current iron ore boom last...
I asked dog... he said: grrrrrr, woof, grrrrrr... nup...
He did say they are related to the same process.
We need a smart pair of boobs to answer a question that big.
Anyone got a pair they'd like to put forward? ![]()
(No male replies thanks)
Yeh Colin there does seem to be a lot of volcanic/Earthy crusty shuffling and fault line doovawhacky stuff going on in a short space of time doesn't there?
I was cautious about travelling to Bali in Sept. Wifey was actually in Bali when they had the mini quake there at the same time last year. I figured I was being too pessimestic and a handbag about it and so agreed to go to the region.
Not quite it seems with 2 quakes, a tsunami and a volcanic eruption all withing the vicinity since Sept. I'd be avoiding fault/fire lines (whatever the correct term is) like the plague for the forseeable future. But hey, I am a handbag.. ![]()
