hi all
booked a mooring for long weekend at rottnest
starting out from point peron on saturday am and retunring monday am
checking graphs on seabrezze notice quite high up in the greens at the moment
we have 2 children on board - would you risk it? and if so what time you recommend best crossing
cheers in advance
hi there
boat is 6.3 m whitley cruiser 630
we have a fuel jetty mooring- not too bothered about it being choppy once we are there just getting there and getting back because we have children - looking on seabreeze today i notice the wind is in the red so looking good for going.....not too flash coming back on monday
Generally mornings are the best for going to rotto and back.
But that depends on the wind.
Play it by ear and don't leave after midday on monday coz it'll just get windier.
like i said before go over on an eaterly (usually morning) and come home on a seabreeze . much easier to follow the swell than fight it .
