I dunno about awesome result, I always seem to have the meat under cooked or overcooked
If yours works for you, that is good.![]()
so what is the secret to good webber cooking, I was given one recently, but havent been game to try it![]()
^^^ Protip: Don't put too many of those compressed paper log things on. Once they get going they put out a deceptive amount of heat and flames.
(Yes I nearly burnt down a mates place trying that trick on his unit balcony this summer)
i minute for every millimetre of your meat, will end up medium![]()
yeah hamilton got the heads up in malaysia and saved his tyres during q3 in china. prerace interview he said it was his tactic.
i guess webber was a little lucky after car failure in Q1.
this season is looking to be a cracker. the new tyres and rear wing have really made a difference.
agree elmo, was great race, well worth the lack of windsurfing.
One more lap would have been awesome.. I would have loved to see Mark stick it up the inside of Seb and finish ahead of him.. ![]()

Definately got what they asked for from Pirelli. The different rates of tyre wear certainly make for better racing/tactics and viewing. Will be good to see how Webber goes if they ever sort out his KERS.
F1 seems a bit more arcade gamey with the overtake boost buttons (DRS / KERS). But it's the most exciting racing in years - Sunday's race was awesome. 18th -> 3rd ![]()
Webber could have won it:
- 4 more laps or
- qualified 1 sec faster on options or
- freakin KERS worked.
I reckon the other teams will look at how well he did after having so many sets of new tyres.
They've got just over 2 weeks to get the bloody KERS sorted on Webber's car.
If they can manage this then he's in for a real shot at winning Turkey if the team strategist pull off another amazing miracle and provided he drives as good as he did in China.
Always been a major fan of Webber and have always shook my head when people say he can't drive. I'm sorry, but he's a million times better than Vettel amongst the pack. Vettel can only drive well when he has no one ahead of him. To come 3rd, from 18th, with faulty KERS is nothing short of amazing.
Legend indeed.
yeew!
I'm seriously hoping they ditch KERS for Webber. Replace the system with carefully placed ballast and be done with it. The beauty of it is it allows Webber to focus on the job of racing. Not having to wonder if his car will perform leading up to the race.
The added benefit is braking. When the KERS fails the braking is affected on his setup. Such is the nature of kinetic recovery designs. Bad braking going into corners means harder acceleration is required coming out...which means he has to flog the guts out of his car to keep up. Which he does REALLY well. The added downside is tire wear which became evident in the Malaysian GP. Webber was constantly in the pits burning through tires just to keep pace.
Give him a 'simple' car, with good weight distribution, working brakes, a sound tire strategy and watch him rape the grid.
Facts are webber as good as he is has been provided the best equipment on the earth and the backing but will he ever be world champ? I've followed his drives for years and nothing changed he not consistent enough and it is bizarre how the equipment manages to **** it's self when he's under pressure and driving rough ok he had nothing to loose and slayer it on this occasion sic to see prove me wrong
