Late sleep-in (kids up until late last night), then cleaned out garage this morn.

Just got back from having a family BBQ & a couple of light ales at a local caravan pk on the beach where parents are staying.

Off now to do some maintenance on w/surfing gear and then to beach for a SUP (on my 165lt w/surfer...although taking a 7.5 rig just incase the wind comes through ).

Light BBQ dinner planned with a couple of ales , then sit back & relax on balcony with maybe a glass of red for the evening...

What did you roast elmo? Do you use wood chips? I love a slow cooked, smokey pork shoulder from the webber with a nice bark from the dry rub . Grilling is childs play, real bbq is slow roasting with coals

I spent most of the day in airports and on planes

Nah nothing fancy like wood chips, just a leg of lamb just shy of 3kg and some lamb shanks for my dogs, they love roast nights as well.

Gas fired kettle barby with a good low setting, have used heat beads before but to inconsistent with heat.

5-1/2 hrs for lamb 2-1/2 for the veggies, meat fell of the bone. Just got to baste every half hour or so and all is sweet.

Enough lefty meat for another tonight just got to put the veggies on and skive of for a quick sail while they're cooking
