PKRA Australia is coming 5 - 12 December 2010, Gold Coast.
We have had so much interest in "Wild Cards" for the Race event that we have decided to open it to the public !!!
Anyone can win !

Straight downwind sprint 10km, $5,000.
"Wild Card" spots are still available for PKRA Freestyle and Wave events. Upload your video or pictures to the facebook page. Get your friends to comment. The best will get the "Wild Cards".
"Red Bull Kite Cross" 11 & 12 December 2010 !!! Race in and out of surf with Red Bull obstacles like you have never seen before !!! Head to head, four riders per heat. Have you got what it takes to do designated tricks over the obstacles, including the "Red Bull Wall" ? If so upload your video !!! $5,000 up for grabs !!!
Gold Coast International Hotel, Closing Ceremony and After Party will close the PKRA World Tour on 12 December 2010. 3,000 capacity After Party !!!!

For the rest of you out there... There are lots of spot prizes for those of you who come to support the event.

This is going to be a massive event. I went over some of the plans for the event with the guys and they are going to put on huge show with lots of media coverage for Kiteboarding and for the Gold Coast. Lets hope we get some wind!
How many people will there be for the down wind race? 200, 300? more? Its going to be great to watch. on the last big down winder on the coast there were about 80 people and even that looked wild from the beach!
Yah if they can run it on the weekend (wind permiting) it should attract a large number of kiters

The 10km Downwind Sprint Race is on Sunday 5 December 2010. It is the opening of the 2010 Gold Coast Kitesurfing Pro World Tour Event. $5,000 in prizes to be won.
The PKRA Freestyle and Wave events will run during the week from 5 December to 12 December 2010.
There is also the Red Bull Kite Cross event on 11 & 12 December 2010. This event is going to be insane. The Race will take competitors in an out of the surf having to clear obstacles, including a 4meter wall. 4 riders will race head to head per heat.
Throughout the event we will be doing "show events", including best trick, kite loop, big air, crowd pleaser, etc depending on weather conditions.
