What happened to forecasts like S S/W 17-21 kts or S S/W 18-23 kts . Forecasts like these were regularly issued in years gone by. I would have thought , as technology improves, forecasts would become more accurate but we don't appear to be heading in that direction. J
Depending on the area included in the forecast, 15-25 might be correct:
15kn on Melville waters
25kn off Rotto
This is especially true with some trough activity.
In tassie that would be accurate minute to minute. 15 to 25 then back again rapidly. Winter especially. That's just how we roll!

yea seabreezes can be extremely localised can be a matter of 200m between easterly and a 20 knot seabreeze
