I have a 2011 12m Ozone C4 that I quite like. I have found a used 2012 9m and 7m for sale, which I intend to buy to round out my quiver. I think Ozone made some slight design changes between the 2011 and 2012 models...so my question is, does anyone see a problem with using my 2011 C4 bar and lines with these 2012 C4 kites?
No problem at all only issue you might have is if your 12m bar is the ~54cm one as it will be big(wide) on the 9 and 7. The 50cm bar width would suit all 3 kites fine.
The 12m came with a 50 cm bar and this will be fine with the 9 but take it real easy on the 7 as it will turn very fast. Try running the 7m on the heaviest rear line attachment points on the kite as this will reduce its sensitivity to minor steering input. (Or cut the bar down like Rowdy does and accept some slower turning from the 12.)
Other than bar length being matched to kite size, any Ozone kite from the past 4 years will run fine on any Ozone bar from that time. All have 4 equal length lines and single front line flagging.
12-9-7 wil be a sweet quiver. Enjoy!
I have 6, 8 and 10 Reos and fly all on the 50cm bar and just as djdojo suggested I fly the 6m on the medium setting to compensate for the extra bar width.
i run 6 reo 2011, 8 cat 2012, 10 c4 2011, 13 edge 2010 all on the same 50cm bar. No wucken forries.
i don't have any problems with the speed of the 6m on the 50cm bar.
