It is becoming apparent that their marketing strategy is not to sell you a product or piece of equipment... they're trying to sell you on the idea of a lifestyle....
I know its a teaser.... but I would prefer to know more about why their product is best?
This was an insane trip to be on. The BVI's truly is amazing. I never seen water that colour. It even outdid the marshalls somehow. New gear is sick!
new boards are completely re designed. They are now done in house in their own factory so they have changed significantly
Like someone has said, the siwtchblades have changed more then previous years. Bar pressure felt a bit light. Still a solid all round kite!
The twintips have changed a lot. Like someone said, they have a new board designer and factory and the stuff is looking sweet! The Custom has changed a lot with a whole new bottom profile. Haven't ridden, but everyone I talked to that has liked it. All the info will be released soon anyway. Just wait for August 1st.
Cheers,
Keahi
I've been riding the custom since Saturday, awesome looking board.
It has a snowboard base so scratches can be smoothed out with an iron.
Coming from a caliber it does require you to be powered to ride, but through large chop I struggle to nose dive it. I found landing very smooth in comparison to the caliber, although the board is extremely stiff under your feet it's quite nice to ride, going upwind requires you to really dig in both heals.
Pop took me a bit to get right but now I find it easier to get huge height more repeatedly even in miss matched chop. The board also feels really light in the air and is easy to swing around, no over rotations and uncoordinated raleys due to swinging heavy board.
I've never really had any time on the previous custom so I can't say if it's worth upgrading.
