Got a North 2007 bar and the 5th line that goes through the bar is worn out, again – the red rope/line where you attach the safety. Had the same problem with my previous 2004 North 5th element bar, kept replacing it with similar size rope from a marine store but it wouldn’t last nearly as long as the original north rope/line. Any good suggestions out there or any shops selling it??

Are you lubricating? 
Try spraying the line with silicone spray (also from the marine store) to minimise wear. Pro tip though, don't spray your bar with silicone spray. lol

Checked out Amsteel, it looks pretty decent. Will get that and some silicone spray.
