Just got the official word that I've been selected for the Station Leader position at Mawson www.antarctica.gov.au/living-and-working/stations/mawson I'll be sailing from Freo 10 Feb 2012, return Mar-Apr 2013.
I still have some new and demo Flysurfer kites that I'd like to see go to good homes before I go - selling them below cost - any reasonable offer accepted. Email [email protected] if interested

Why not just take your kites with you to Antarctica, and kite in freezing waters...
...i'd pay to see that.
I will probably take a small kite down with me but Antarctic Division have very strict rules on safety as help is a LONG way away - in winter we will be completely isolated with no air and shipping support available - ie MEDEVAC is impossible

PS: When you sail from Freo what size kite will you use? I hear the wind can be quite variable between Freo and Antarctica
