to my knowlege, to the south (the estuary) of a straight line drawn from the northern tip of currumbin rock to the end of the northern wall is "department of transport 6 knot zone for watercraft"
the lifeguard and waterpolice tolerate kiters at the moment as they are waiting for an "incident" to happen with a third party innocent person to be tested in the state courts which will provide important legislation to limit kitesurfing activity statewide.
and yes currumbin is a great place to kite, everyone is welcome.
