I am thinking about joining the wave camp at Cabaita beach ... northern NSW
Anyone ridden at that beach - is it a good spot.

Not so good that time of the year, most likely SE = onshore wind if your lucky! plus lots of sweep.

Sammy. Casurina is an open beach and is as marty said. (not so much like the wave camp add says IMO). In a surfing around australia not alby mangle but alby mangle type book i read the other week, Cabarita was described as the most over rated break in the country... haha. I kite here but understand what they are saying. the waves sometimes look ok from the headland but its always packed out by surfers and tourists and much fatter than it looks from the headland once you get out. (surf is always ****ty on the windy side if you are asking about kiting only)

that said, its hard to imagine a better thing to spend money on than kiting :) your money is likely to go further on a kiting hol rather than a camp though i guess. If ya end up going. hope you have a great time. I'll be around the beach if its windy enough. had no wind at all for ages now. Its gotta come in soon. hopefully in time for the camp.
