Aussie wins PKRA wave event...

PKRA:

Keahi De Aboitiz (Cabrinha) finished in first place today with a score of 15.64 points. His third wave scored an average of 8.34 points, with one judge giving him a 9 which was the highest score given in the wave single elimination...

I think it is more than likely he will take out the title this year..that is unless Kristin Boese has her way,she has convinced the IKA to make the PKRA a qualifying series for a dream tour made up of 2 comps (no prize money) to determine the world champ,so any points keahi racks up will mean nothing .

Interesting to read Julian Hosp article in kiteboarder discussing the judging criteria regarding straps VS strapless. My impression was if you want to be competitive, ride hooked in and strapped as there is no clear differentiation to the degree of difficulty....... These guys are supposed to be the most talented riders in the world and I thought world comps were about pushing the progression of any sport. Keahi reps regardless...

Two things:
1. Interesting to note that you listened to anything Julian Hosp said.
2. That KBM would run an article from him, seems like this mag is going down hill fast.
