I’m going up to Sanur 21-26 Aug.

What's the weather like up there atm? What size kites should I take?

Anyone up there want to test fly a Flysurfer kite or Spleene Zone wave board?

nothing less than 14mtr, take the booties for the low tide walks,
iwas also watching the baggage dudes from my window when we arrived at Bali unloading our plane . it is not gentle with the board bags , and they chuck bags on top of them as well, it was painful to watch your new board being thrown about, so pack carefully

Hey Ian, What do the spleene zones sell for these days?

I'll coincidentally be in Bali at the same time as you, but i'd be better off demoing back in Perth.

Jankie, the first shipment of Speed3's is not due in Oz until Sep :-( I might bring my 17m Psycho3 and see if someone wants a good deal on an awesome lightwind weapon over there.

Matt, the new Spleene 174 x 44 cm Zone will sell for the same RRP as the old 2008 159 x 43cm model ie $1100 incl GST. Shipment should clear customs next week. From their website it looks like they've gone back to a thruster from the original quad-fin on the 2009 Zone. Call me anytime on 0414716812 to have a demo ride.

Luckily the Spleene's are almost indestructible so won't have to worry about the baggage handlers too much :-)

Also the local Balinese kitesurfing team at their school at Kite Beach.

Both places are at walking distance between each other so you can check for who has better price and gear.

Bye Jankie
