Just stumbled across a recall on the Bandit 4 Chicken Loop on the net. It appears that it may not operate when you need it to. Anyone had theirs replaced by their dealer, if so, what is the change. I have been riding around blissfully unaware until now.
They have had one or two of the ball pull things on a limited few break. I tried to break a mates before he swapped it out and coulld got not get it to snap. I guess being rubber/plastic and if you play with enough it will fatigue.
Basically it just goes to the old/new canvas release like the B5 or pre airlite bar and it has the new plastic DD. ;)
Very neat and clever relacement I must say and all though I did like the ball I have heard some people have complained about it rubbing a bit when ridding unhooked so the canvas release with fix that for them too.....
So all you need is a knife to cut the old one off..... ;)
We had guys breaking those within 2weeks of the b4 coming out last year,they were replaced under warranty with an older model release strap.
I think it's slack if it has taken f one this long to issue a product recall , especially with the dangers involved with a possible malfunction of the safety!
