So im coming for a holiday this November and intend on spending about 3 weeks on the East Coast of Oz. What are the best kite sizes used? It may seem like a silly question, but I ask as where I live in Canada we need a 12m+, you can drive 8 hrs to Hood River and never need much more than a 9m, and Squamish varies a bit... For example, will i ever need a 6 or 7m?
Also, I see that to Kite in some locations (Byron) it is mandatory to have $10M in liability insurance, which I can get by joining the AKSA for $150, but I dont want to spend that for only 3 weeks... Is it State law to have this insurance? Or is it just applied by some local councils?

12m, may get a sesh on your 9 if your lucky. You don't legally need insurance, but wouldn't bother kiting Byron anyway.

Canada dude

bypass the east coast and go west coast and take your pic of conditions to kite in anywhere apart from 'no kite' beaches !!! waksa have a description of awesome venues and it will be the best 150$ spent in your life

9 and 12 will cover everything

Thanks for the advice but I'm from Sydney, just haven't been home to see the family in some time so hittin WA won't happen this go round.

If you were to pick the best 3 places between Sydney to the sunshine coast, what would they be??
