Doing a weeks trip along the southern NSW coast next week and was wondering where the best kiting areas are, preferably somewhere you can camp near the water.

Any areas that have reliable winds ? Thanks

How far up from the Vic border will you be travelling?

check the NSWKSA site but we found a great place called Lake Tabourie, just south of Mystery Bay from memory. Caravan park very close by.

Pretty sure Tabourie is north of Mystery bay. - Merimbula is pretty good and working in different wind directions.

Tabourie is well north of Mystery Bay.

Merimbula is usually good but I can't say that for this season. Been plenty of wind but no surf.

Gerroa is a good place north of Nowra.

Kiting communities popping up at places like Narooma, near Mystery Bay, Tuross Lakes, Eden.

Great spots all over the place on their day.

Cheers

Merimbula gets my vote as well... Although ulladulla and kiama also stand out in my memory as being quite good. Huge surf at kiama when I was there

Had a great flat water session at Green Island (Lake Conjola), just north of Ulladulla, recently.
Details: NE wind (cross offshore), low to mid tide with waist deep water, very smooth, can have little waves. Location - the gap between the island and the sand spit.
You won't get in the way of the surfers here either. They are further out the back in the wind shaddow. Beware, it is cross off in a NE wind but in the event of a system failure you will drift downwind to the beach about 1km away.
Accommodation at Lake Conjola Caravan Park if you wish.
