Would anyone who has ridden a 9mtr Nomad like to have a guess at the earliest you think someone 82kg riding a 6'4 x20' Surfboard would get going.12knts??
Agreed .. I'd reckon no matter what brand kite you're on, you need some pretty amazing skills to stay "powered up" and planing on a 9m in 12 knots.
Plus, as soon as you head downwind to ride a wave, the kite falls out of the sky!
Beaufort scale definition of 12 knots: Raises dust and loose paper; small branches are moved.
ye, 12knots is ridiculous, most people would struggle to fly a 9m properly in that wind, let alone ride upwind. a 9m you should be able to start at about 17 knots minimum.
agreed 9m to small but 12 knots on 14 m yh ya pushing it but still do able learnt in 12 knot winds as thats usually our seabreeze so learning to go upwind was harder but get some decent wind and bang you are cranking upwind
