G'day,

I'm looking into Mutant style of boards and came across the RRD Toxic Wave 2. If you have ridden one can you let me know your opinions?

Also, where in Oz can you get them?

Thanks for your time,

cheers,

Robert.

ps if you know of any other 2010 mutant boards out there let me know!

Not sure why you want a mutant, but everyone I know who's had one bought it as a transition to a directional and learned very quickly that they don't cut it.

If this is your idea too, then I'd recommed going straight to a driectional and keeping your favoutite twin tip.

I've got a 6' cyclone surfboard and I like it, even though it doesn't suit our sh!tty waves but I've ended up creasing the bottom and cracking around the rail after a short sharp cross on waves. 2nd one now, and I figure with my style, weight, and our conditions, a mutant would suit me more, I dunno, thats why I want opinions. We don't have consistant waves, some times its like large 2m chop and I love the twin tip in these conditions and maybe a mutant would do better!????

Anyway, I'll keep looking! Any more opinions?

cheers,

Robert.

Love it. I use one for flat water and when the banks disappear in summer, saves busting out fins.

Ive got one and find it allot of fun. It rides both ways just as well. Its great for small choppy surf or downwinders. Its a bit too small and quick for bigger surf.
Bindings are great as well.

I bought mine at SOS in fremantle.

Does the choptop do long carves very well?

Does it point very well and do you need much power? I read some where, can't remember where, but it acts like a 130 cm twin tip even though its bigger than that, not sure???

Anyway, I'll give SOS a call see what they have to say!

cheers,

Robert.
