Steady 30 knot all day today. 25 knot all day yesterday, sailed Knobbies alone!
Saturday 25 knot all arvo, again alone. It's been awesome! Where are all the Newcastle kiters, flown north for the winter? You're just a bunch of kitepussies!

Aint nothing like a howling wind on the coast of Nobbies to rattle ya bones. At least in those winds, the public have long gone. Dog beach or Stocko must of been flat as a pancake with that direction.

Cheers Steffo

I was away at Bellingen .no wind and pouring rain .Got home Mon arv late and kited dicko .Direct onshore 25 -30 kts . Stuffed up my launch and got hurled into the dune ,kite smashed into the fence.Fortunately no one hurt . Lesson learned we all have to be careful in these conditions and be particularly wary in direct onshore launch areas with bugger downwind room no matter how experienced . Then I got a launch from Conrad who was hang gliding with his mate . Glad I got back on the horse .I wouldn't call it epic at all .It was a bloody horrible washing machine . I should have kited Nobbies it might have been better

Sat a few of us went a little further north with some very big sets coming though in the main bay and just around the corner, some smaller fun waves in cross-cross off, no locals to be seen
Had a good few hours on the water.
My 10 got smashed in a big wave, I seamed to run out of power at the wrong time and it caught up with me big time, 10foot of white water
Got it up at moti's place getting the busted LE repaired

Sunday went a bit south for the day, but only lasted about half hour and had a bad landing on the surfboard after going over a wave and busted ankle
Would luv to be joining you for the rest of the week with plenty of wind about, but it aint gunna happen

Can you believe I also own the one on the left

I have to admit I took Tuesday off, kept an eye out but worn to a frazzle. 30 knot + in surf is OTT for me. Sat & Monday on 7m & strapless & waves were actually great, not too big or dumpy.
What actually got me was how dedicated the surfers were. I was packing up at sunset & 2 car loads of surfers pulled up & were out for a quick session in the most atrocious conditions for paddlesurfing. You've gotta admire that.
& it's got me thinking of next yrs quiver all over again. 6/10 or 8/10?

Rick, I'm sure you don't want to hear that but that looks real bad.

Have you had it X-rayed?

I had a swollen ankle like that one time, the fracture didn't show up in the x-ray for a week due to the compression of the swelling.

I hope for your sake it's not broken.

Conditions have been pretty extreme the last few days, hearing the stories from Lach, Col and Rick, I'm kinda glad I've had to work.

NO fracture showed up in xray
Booked in for ultrasound on Monday.
Wasn't really the conditions, just a bit of bad luck going over a wave and the way I came down on the board
Yep going to PNG for 14 days end of July, sure hope I can have the best time up there
