And the point is?
RIP for those mentioned, but given the millions of people who engage in water sport activities, about 2 fatal shark attacks a year wouldn't scare me whatsoever.
For kitesurfers the odds are even much lower than for divers, surfers or swimmers, as the list shows.
So if you want to scare off Euro kiters, you pretty much achieve the opposite with this post..
How many people got killed on driving on the way to the beach or even crossing the street to get to the beach? How many people drowned?
Being taken by a shark is a relatively rare occurance. Why would you worry about it? You are more likely to win the lottery.
Though I do wonder if people typically see the shark that gets them or if they just come out of nowhere.

Places we "EUROS" frequent regularly.
Guys you aint got much in the water that we don't have in our waters.
Frankly This Euro Bashing is getting Boring, how about we kick all the Ozzie trainee teachers and Bar staff bums off our beaches, with their she'll be alright self launching tactics, whilst un insured.
Get over it guys seriously, just sound like a bunch of sooks who have spat their dummies.
it's only gonna get busier.
Paul Buckland was a mate of mine.....
I'm sure he would have no interest in his name, or manner of death being used in your attempt to get Euros to go....
Geez guys pretty sure wishy threw that up there as a light hearted topic as opposed to genuinely trynna get rid of the euros. Why without euros we would miss out on reading pss funny stuff written on poxy old wicked vans, and sensational jug jiggling kite catchers which would be a shame, also who else is going to respond to that gumtree ad and come and take that manky old couch of your hands?
Certainly doubt any intended disrespect to the deceased (although understand opinions of friends of those victims named), we are all water users could have, and could be anyone of us, our family, or our mates.
Out of interest, kinda pointing out the obvious but looking at those numbers, theres been a fatal every year or two, sure more people are in the water, but have we not had more fatals in last 10 years than had in previous 40 odd years?
Reduced washing and underwear - Lower shark attacks.. is there a link, or is the euro bashing catching on.
I don't think it matter if its a euro or an Auzzie shark - you are still going to have to wash your wettie
There are no fishes left in the ocean in Europe, small or big so it is extremely safe![]()

Lots of tyres tho
You can update those figures guys... A diver was taken here in south aus, at the aptly named place of coffins bay, only yesterday by 2, yes I said 2!!! Great whites. But hey surround yourself with more people I say, definatly decreases your chances of being taken ![]()
No thank you, I don't eat fishes from Russia or the Philipines![]()
All bull$hit aside, I feel for those involved in these events, its a harsh deal, but one we all take the risk of when we step in the ocean. Here in south aus we have had more and more sightings of greatwhites over the past few summers, as I suspect the rest if the country. Everyone take care, and good winds to all...
