Seriously,
You could lose an eye (or worse ?). ^^^
Stupid death-leashes.
Why would you ride this way ??
Nah, that's not a leash, that's a fish hook and he's lost the bait on the end.
It's a novel way to go fishing, I'll grant you.
my leash seems to keep my kite where i can grab it if i let go of the bar whilst unhooked. maybe i'm a simpleton but it does seem to perform this task quite well. my leash has not attacked me so far.
if there is another way of getting quick access to my kite if i'm unhooked and let go of the bar i'd be interested. some super duper electro-force-field thingy perhaps that only turns on when i need it?
if you don't unhook and have a fail-proof, idiot-proof unbreakable chickenloop and spreader bar, and you have o-sh!ts or other manual flagging mechanisms then fine, go without a leash.
if you don't unhook, you're missing out on some fun aspects of our sport.
slave, for those of us who like to unhook, what do you propose if not a leash? please, be constructive or shut up.
Frkn groundhog day.
Seatbelts can also crush ribs etc... or without you can fly like superman thru the window before landing like a warm bowl of dog food.
Your choice really.
Let it go slave. Ride that way if you like by all means but just let the topic go.
this subject is actually more entertaining than the poley vs dangly sledging threads that were around,![]()
although both totally useless and equally predictable they are still quite funny![]()
so glad your all still up to rising to the bait![]()
the fishings been good lately ay slave?![]()
as seinfeld once said, humans were partaking in activities that were causing severe damage to the skull, rather than refrain from these activities, we invented the helmet, and not only did we invent the helmet, we had to invent the helmet law to make the ppl too stupid to wear one do so.
still ppl ride without them and get brain damage. if only we stil had tyrannusaurus rex to pick off the weak and stupid.
on the upside to leash less riding you get allot of exercise when learning/failing at handle passes (sarcastic voice)
is that your excuse for never unhooking? because of safety concerns? it would be pretty easy to make a more reliable leash that doesn't let go/ fail and then you could unhook. It's a major part of kitesurfing and if you can't/ wont do it for whatever reason then you are missing out. particulary in flat water but I strongly suspect waveriding unhooked also has it's advantages. justify your decision not to however you want, just stop inflicting it on everyone else
