So.....
Whose been so desparate to kite that they go to the beach. There's some wind but not enough. so you convince yourself there is enough wind, set up have trouble launching cause its too light. continue anyway. ignore all the light wind signs then proceed to dump your kite in the water get it wet and covered in sand leave your bar sloshing in the water to ensure the lines are all tangled in a mess.

ahhhhh!!!....

funny thing is when i was setting up i knew it wasn't going to happen but i kept on believing that the wind would pick up magically.

Ahhh... i crave a good session.

Same here this weekend. Setup but didn't bother launching though.
Still better than driving home and telling myself that I should have kited.
Should have gone for a ride instead.

I seem to choose the days where you get the added bonus of lots of seaweed in the water - result = wet, sandy kite, swim in then drag the seaweed filled, tangled lines on to the beach. Joy!

Yep down here in mandurah that's a common occurrence even when it's blowing 15 knots 40km up the road. Bloody estuary. I call it kite setup and self rescue practise. Lol.

I did that today. Went out and back, got a hole in my kite when it continued to fall out of the sky. Went home cursing myself for not just going home.

Yeah I pumped up a kite on the weekend waiting for some wind. Ended up checking and rechecking my lines multiple times just to keep myself busy. Then practiced reverse launching for another hour. Gave up and went home...

... mind you, I have harm minimised by getting a Sector along with an 18m kite so it has eased off on the really sh!tty days count!!

My brother once put only three lines on a fifth line kite and tried to get someone to launch it. After fixing up his crashed kite then asked the guy to launch and had only 4 lines on. When I got down there bro had just gone out after the third attempt. The guy looked at me in a puzzled way. I returned the look with an emotion of resignation.

After last weeks pathetic attempts, I have told myself not to rig up unless its above 15knts. It's just too depressing otherwise
