have a really nice 7 metre Vapor 2 in top nick. Lost the bar some time ago and considering modifying the kite to 4 line so I can use any 4 line bar. I am thinking of modifying the kite as shown in the diagram . The lines in red to compensate for the removal of the standard 5th line.

Anyone tried a configuration like this ?, did it work ? Can anyone think of a reason it wouldn't ? Tia and cheers, J

I doubt that will work too well but I think the vapour 2 had a bridle you could use to make it a 4 line.

Vapours fly far better and efficiently with 5th line setup than a bridle don't waste your time the kite will bend in half when loaded.

A friend did that exact conversion to his kite (was 5, now 4 line) he loves it.

Good luck doing the convert , after having 4 vapor models over the years and now riding a vapor x10m the upper wind range and performance is increased with a fith line. faster and higher on a fith or slower and lower on that sort of setup.
