"Dude, why are strapless kiters so UP themselves?"

"Cause man, they are doing proper surfing."

"Dude, they're flying a stupid kite."

"Right man, proper surfing with a little bit of kiteflying on the side."

"So dude, why do straps suck so much?"

"One main reason, man."

"Name it, dude."

"Well man, the difficulty in deciding exactly where straps need to be."

"What about taking an educated guess, dude?"

"Cause man, there's no perfect position for your feet all the time."

"But dude, what about big bumpy conditions with strong wind?"

"Man, proper surfing doesn't happen in those conditions."

"Right dude."

Look at moi!! look at moi I'm so kn HARDCORE without straps - just kn look at moi all you kn pansies that I judge to be sooo inferior!![}:)]

Shortly later..

Smashh!! Glug glub blub blub!! Kn ell!! Someone get my board!?!? And get my tumbled kite - man!!??

Quietly in the background - seeking no attention from anyone, just a red hot buz from their own kiting - a strapped rider (not sure if it's a surfboard or a twinny to be honest) smacks the cr@pper out of an onshore mushy slab.
Seeking no attention kiter then fangs off for a while before boosting mega high off the lip, landing easily and enjoying the stoke (whilst trying to avoid the mess and shemozzle unstrapped hero dude has made in the line up.

Too many 'dudes' around these parts for sure.. man.

Riding with or without straps is your call - If it floats your boat go for it. I couldn't give a fig, but boasting and passing judgement on what someone else rides is just so pathetic.

For the unstrapped bigger/better than you brigade, these days I'm sure there are plenty of cosmetic surgery options for the nether regions instead that may be helpful. Or maybe you could try a strap-on.

Great job wave slave & get funky, couldn't have said it better.
Do you think it was because they never quite learned to surf without a kite

Didn't the straps vs unstrapped argument go out of fashion when Baywatch ended?

IMHO Best way to surf for sure is to leave the kite in the car, and paddle in. For really hard core, have straps on and get a jetski to tow you into the biggest sets.

seems to be more people bagging strapless kiters these days than vice versa.

I ride with guys who are strapped and unstrapped and none of us give 2 hoots what everyone else is doing. Heck some ride strapped one day then unstrapped the next, some even have one strap on the front and nothing on the back....wow man, thats soooo insane! they must be sooo confused!

the issues seem to lie with some strapped guys at the mo.

get over it already - stop worrying about what everyone else is doing.

I was just thinking along those lines, wondering if I'm doing it wrong when I am strapless.
