Nuh, you may be lucky and it's great when it is on but the wind can be a little bit fickle, still a nice place to visit anyway.
Fourth mile on the coast road to the West of town is a fairly popular spot, if you have a 4x4 there is a few other spots around, most with a few waves, not much flat water around.
