The Exmouth Expo @ Sandy Bay last week was a very successful event.
6 days out of 8 with a consistent SW kept all participants keen to test out all the latest 2010 kites and boards in an awesome location.
Ningaloo Kite & Board would like to thank the great crew who attended, WAKSA and all the major kiting brands who supported the event with demos.
A huge thanks also to the local Exmouth, Coral Bay and Carnarvon crew.
We hope to make it happen again next year. What a great start to the season!

Massive understatment. Awesome event.
Record breaking SUP's; turtles everywhere; sharks terrorising polies, whales breaching outside the reef, kite-kats, Louey the legend keg-man ..........
The stories will all be outed - hopefully with pics - asap.

Huge thanks to Scott & Emma from Ningaloo Kite & Board for a massive effort.
I felt guilty not doing more but I had one hell of a long overdue holiday.
And great to meet the local crew. You guys have it made up there.
I'll be back next year - next time with fully re-furbed rescue boat that actually helps out a bit.

Yep big thanks to Scotty and Emma for the huge effort you guys must have put in to make it happen. Also all the others that helped make it memorable such as Mick from Carnarvon and his Kite Kat, Lou the Legend with his kegs in a car etc.
On my last day my ribs were to sore to kite so we hooked up the 14mtr to Mick's rescue cat (a surfcat modified to accept a little outboard) and started cruising the bay, as our confidence grew we started throwing in tack turns, downloop gybes, downwind continuous kiteloop runs and topped it off with a double kiteloop gybe...what a hoot!!!
I believe some photo's or footage may surface.

With those lemons in the corner of Lou's cruiser, the keg couldn't possibly be full of Corona's could it

p.s. what happened to yella.

Very observant Chrisso, Yes mexican cervesa was flowing freely (not all like the Mr Whippy pictured)

It wouldn't be a road trip without Yella, If you look closely you will see her up the front. She was in charge of the tails for the camp oven this trip.

Great week, thanks Scotty and Emma

Was a great time, perfect location and a fantastic crew.

Much respect to Scotty and Emma for putting it all on.

I've uploaded some photos to abell.photobiz.com/cart/ just enter the password sandybay and have a look through.

If you see any photos of yourself and want copies, add them to the cart and fill in the order details. Copies are free for personal use, I'll send you the digital files.

All the photos are pretty much as they came out the camera, haven't had a chance to do any editing on them yet.

Enjoy!

Alex

Hey Guys,

Looks like fun and would love to have come along but it needs to be in September not October, make it earlier and I'll be there with all the help you can handle.

Can bring the truck, the boat, helpers, tents, you name it

Cheers,

KH
