Sitting here debating the same thing.
Forecast looks crud, and I've got a camping site booked.
Never seen a trough funnelling precipitation from NT to the south east coast before, ever. F#@king thing has to be slow moving too. WTF about the "Great Dividing Range" eh? Not so 'great' at stopping all that b@stard rain.
I've really been looking forward to going, not just the kiting and surfing, but the beauty of the place, and, ok you got me, 4 days away from the wife and kids.
Surely even if it rains and there's not wind or waves there is still an opportunity for fun eh?
I'm a first timer, I need some encouragement and reassurance from you experienced people out there.
Fingers crossed for that NE'r and Southerly swell on saturday, otherwise conditions look epic for the BBQ, and SUPing.
Can I butt in here with a bit of a punt..... We are starting to generate our own wind.... Keep this up and well get 20 knots and head high ......whatever it's gunna go off. Cattle are curing.... Chooks are hanging..... The lime trees have been raided .... Trust me it will go off
Oh yeah and I forgot to say ......it's gotta come up cause it can't get any flatter..... You know the saying the lull before the storm.......well look out. See you Thursday
Pouring rain here in Newcastle.
Reports of a truck crash and traffic delays on the F3.
A kiteable southerly blowing here.
Cars packed.
Time to take a chance and head south.
