Check out the link, and get in contact with the Kiteaction team to ensure you don't miss out!

The forecast looks good for a northerly, so at this stage gear up for a session at Cotton Tree. Those that have booked in all ready, I am sure Luke will make contact giving you the details of where to meet etc.

If things change we can make a post last minute Saturday Night, but at this stage we will meet at the Car Park at Cotton Tree at 9am, Sunday 22nd.

I have heard there maybe an opportunity to hit a kicker, for those interested we will run a short demo and tuition session on the finer points of booting a kicker. We will see what the day brings us.

Very much looking forward to presenting a full day of tuition, tips and advice to see our sport continue to develop riders and help progress those who are willing to push themselves to learn new tricks, improve upon their abilities or are just looking to better there own riding to make there journey in our sport safer etc.

Slingshot and Mystic are very proud to be behind the clinic series, as we see it as great way to continually involve riders from all levels in a social, safe and educational environment.
A big thanks goes out to Kiteaction for there continuing support and I look forward to meeting new riders and catching up with those who have been involved in our clinics previously.

See you Sunday, if you have any questions that can't be answered by the KiteAction team, please feel free to PM me or call me direct on 0422430430.

Best regards,

Chris Wardell

Good morning all,

Just had a group of 4 riders unfortunately cancel, making available a few vacancies.
So if you have been thinking about it or have been told it was fully booked, now is your chance! Give Luke at Kiteaction a call 0405 313883.

The wind is still looking promising and with a run out tide all afternoon, it is looking all time! We will meet as planned at Cotton Tree Carpark at 9am, there will be a short intro and brief etc, then we will make our way to the river mouth where we will have a tent set up with a few cold drinks etc. After the days riding and progession we will flash up a BBQ and sit and talk about the day etc.

Big thanks to everyone who participated and assisted in the Slingshot Freestyle Coaching Clinic. It was a great day, awesome conditions and a fantastic energy from all riders.

Big thanks to Luke and the Kite Action team for their tireless efforts on the day, and thank you to all the coaches who spent hours in the hot sun giving simple tips to make your riding just that little bit better! Special Thanks, to: Josh for his Jet Ski, Clinton for his photography and to all the boys who helped setup and stayed to help clean up, awesome!

The feedback was fantastic, with everyone saying they took something away from the day and will continue laying down the foundations to improve their riding. Days like this are difficult to organise and without riders supporting them they simply would not happen. So, again a big thank you for the support and commitment to doing what the coaching group asked of you.

Best regards,

Chris

Hux,

While I appreciate your concern for public safety, I need you to understand that the clinic riders were not involved. Yes they crashed, and a number of times, but these guys were riding well away from the area where people were swimming. You obviously saw, as did I, many riders crashing close to the shore. The riders who demonstrated this activity were not part of the paying group of clinic participants. We had riders in three areas, including on the North Shore, and we limited the number of riders in the River to 5!

How then can you tell me we were in any way putting the local swimmers/public at risk? Not all riders who were kiting yesterday were a part of our organised event, and I know locals do get upset when their beach is infiltrated with a large number of riders etc, but most of the participants were locals!

the public do not care if it was your group or an individual not part of the training they see kites and kites crashing, they are scared and should be.and it makes all of us kiters look bad.the future is looking bad for for kiting in this area.

"the future is looking bad for for kiting in this area."

Especially when there are people kiting in the area who can't even communicate properly, poor souls.
