Ive heard a few people talking about doing this downwind (mainly windsurfers) Im really keen to do it, whats the deal, any good? really keen to have a crack, are people doing it often, wouldnt fancy it by myself ;-)
been done countless times before, plenty of spots to hit up inclding a wicked one hit smack i call the 'bowl' its like the corner of a vert bowl just keeps on going! try going on a 2-3m swell day and ALL the spots will be working. been done from the point too 
done it many times solo without hicups once was racing the sun on xmas eve did it in a record 30minuites 
yeah its a good one..plenty of places to go from...Drummonds to Corro is the shortest, Sunset the medium and point moore to corro for if you want a long one with lots of gnarly waves.
It 4 wheel drive access only along the beach from Drummonds onwards so if it all goes tits up it can be a long walk to get help, So probs best go with someone or take a phone...
And of course the biggest safety issue would be "the spot"...just watch out for all the angery windsurfers!!!
