Fantastic effort by all those responsible in NSWKBA for putting on a top night. Was good to see 100plus kiters in attendance. Great movie Ryland...hope to see more stuff from you. It was definitely worth the long drive to Mosman

Thanx guys great evening, amazing I didn't think there were so many kiters in Sydney. Pity the movie did not live up to expectations. Maybe the large screen showed up the poor videography. Noticed there was no credit for camera op. The Gnarly waves did draw some crowd reaction. other wise quite uninspiring. I'd rather watch the PKRA wave event again

Ouch!.. Sounds like it would've been a good night anyway. Wish I could've gone. The trailer looked awesome though, that left looked heavy. I think its a solid effort just going out in the first place!

What do you want me to say?
I haven't seen the movie so I can't comment... But I was at that left in real life and a I can tell you Ryland is probably one of the best, if not the best kiteSURFers in the world. I haven't seen anyone attack a beast like him.
So if the movie isn't up to world class standards I don't know what to say really other than, one dude with a family a job and no international backing tried to make a video of his journeys and this is what you got. With all that in mind my guess is it's a pretty sweet movie. It is what it is.

Maybe I haven't seen enough movies, but that looked like wave kiting at it's best.
Absolutely amazing footage

I'm not suprised they had a bad turnout in Sydney. It's so hard to do anything there, i've heard of people turning around and going home on the way to a wedding because the traffic pissed them off so much. Can only imagine how many people would bail on going to the movies with their mates every single day in such an awful place.

Trafic would definitely explain the low numbers, either that or all the other kiter just downloaded it for free. I mean file shared it, i was on a torent the other day and there were over a 1000 people that downloaded this shared file and thats just one of hundreds of torents.

From what i have seen, its a great vid and people should be getting behind these guys and buying the vid not downloading it. It costs a lot to make a film and if you want to see more you need to pay for it, or people will just stop making them.

3825ing well said 2868
Anyone who uploads that DVD or ones like it for "file sharing" is a real 2868.
It was an honest fair dinkum, good KITESURFING DVD with a good edit and good soundtrack, I'm pretty amazed that hardly any were sold.
Hopefully the shops will get behind it (we will have it available online tomorrow) for $39.95.
There were about 140 people at the showing which was a good turnout.

We have received our copies today. I was pretty excited to get home and watch "Broken Waters".

Big Ups to all the people involved, especially to Ryland for putting it all together!
I know how hard it is to make az project like this happening.

Overall great Flick with, awesome editing, good aussie music and riders. After watching it I just want to go out kiting and satisfy my soul.

just got back from indo so just read this. sorry u didnt enjoy. i guess u cant please everyone and everyone has different tastes.
few replys to your comments
*as for the videography i think Shannon did an amazing job and think his videoing and eye for filming is one of the best around- probally why Ben Wilson used him to film and edit alot of his movies.
*As for crediting Shannon he was credited in the trailer, on the dvd cover and in the credits so i dont know how much more i need to do there. along with some other great filmers.
*lastly i guess yeah if you enjoy watching the pkra and kpwt videos then yeah u probally wouldnt enjoy it! cheers for the feedback anyway.
