Dick smith do a 16gb( their own brand) for $75.00 ive had no dramas with that one - u want like a class 4 or higher i think too for the HD go pro- i think something to do with the speed of card? 16gb is more than big enough too but u can put a 32gb in them?

I'm not sure which ones you bought Ryland however check amazon.com I got 2x 16gb class 6 posted to my door for under $50. Plenty of feedback on the different types available. With the aussie $ near parity it's good value in some instances.

Hi Guys,

You need a high speed card. I was told go with SanDisk hi performance cards or there was one other brand that have been no worries, can't remember the name right now.

Capacity is irrelevent so long as you have storage capacity to suit your requirements, it's the data transfer rate that is more important. Working on 1080 writing 1Gb per 12min, a SanDisk Ultra, class 4 card of 15Mb/sec should crap it in.

Just avoid the no name cheap cards.

Cheers,

DM

... yeah there was some issues in the beginning and with some of the name brand cards but I eventually got the card that GoPro suggested after waisting money on big capacity high speed cards that just didn't work. Then, for some reason, and I didn't have any problems and when I asked around I was told off that there isn't any issues????? . I then got a name brand 16 Gig card and bugger me it worked, so why didn't it before????

Anyway, one more suggestion, make sure the camera has the latest firmware, so you can change your settings to PAL which looks better. Go to GoPro website and follow instructions, easy. gopro.com/en/au/

cheers,

Robbie
